Wellcare Australia is committed to ensure that our participants can live their lives with dignity, respect, choice, and control. We established our long term recovery accomodations (SIL) to assist our participants live as independently as possible by providing adequate and appropriate supports and accomodations suited to their needs.
Wellcare Australia’s long term recovery accommodation consists of a three phase, recovery and strength based model.
Phase 1
24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL and SDA)
Skill development sessions and supports.
Medication management
Implementation of behaviour support plan
Support with supervision, personal safety, and emotional first aid
Assistance with personal care, basic activity of daily living and relationship building.
Meal management and domestic assistance.
Community access and participation, including advocacy and confidence enhancement.
Support for medical appointments and/or scheduling those appointments.
Relapse prevention and intervention.
Phase 2
Low care supported accommodation
Promote independent living
Encouragement, reminder, and support to complete daily living tasks using role modelling technique.
Medication management.
Community participation.
Support with processing driver license.
Organising and facilitating family work.
Assistance to engage in Employment and Volunteer work.
After hours supervision and On- call support.
Phase 3
Independent living
Support to get housing or other accommodation to leave.
Medication management.
Wellbeing support and supervision.
Employment Support.
02. Short Term Accommodation and Respite Care
Respite care should be a beneficial experience, both for the carer and the person being cared for. It allows you and your carer to temporarily spend time apart. Wellcare Australia provides temporary support for participants seeking respite care, with the assurance of care delivered in the way they usually receive it at home. Our Short Term Accommodation services are able to provide for a wide range of needs, including personal care, clinical support, 24/7 care, and complex support needs.

03. NDIS Crisis Accommodation
Our crisis accommodation service is open to NDIS participants currently experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, or any other issues that may cause them to lose their permanent accommodation. We provide safe, temporary accommodation as well as associated support services.
Key features are:
Case management.
Assessments based on need.
Practical assistance such as food and clothing.
Transport support.
Assistance to move into safe long-term accommodation.
Outreach and after-care.
04. Medium Term Accommodation
Wellcare Australia provides Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) for NDIS participants who require transitional housing as they wait for their permanent home to become available. With the array of capacity building services offered by Wellcare, it is a great opportunity to maintain or improve your independence as you plan for your future.
